How It Works
You select the subscription you want to gift from the table below, based on your preferred duration and format.
We send an introductory card directly to your reader, or to you to pass onto your reader, explaining what to expect and gathering a bit more intel about your reader’s preferences. You have the option to include the first book along with the card.
We get to work choosing and sending out books: one per month, lovingly wrapped with a note about the selection. We love to pass along hidden gems and under-the-radar beauties as well as fan favourites.

FAQs
Where do you ship? Currently, we are shipping within the UK only. We hope to expand to other countries soon if there is interest. All prices listed above are for UK shipping only. Please reach out if you are interested in purchasing for someone outside of the UK to explore what is possible.
Will the reader be able to inform the book choices? Yes! We will include a short questionnaire with the gift for your reader to complete. We will use their responses to help us select books we think they’ll enjoy. We also encourage your reader to let us know how they are enjoying the selection as they go along to help us refine our choices.
What if they already own or have read the book? If they already own or have read a book received through the subscription, it can be swapped for another of equal value. They can pop into the shop to exchange or post back the original (at their cost) to receive a new one. Note: they must notify us within one week of us shipping the book and return it in the condition sent.
Will the subscription automatically renew? No. At the end of your subscription period, you can reach out to First Draft Books to start a new subscription.
Can I change the reader once the subscription starts? This gift is non-refundable and non-transferable. If you’d like to discuss a change in circumstances, please reach out to [email protected].
